New Objective Webinar: PicoChip – Industrialized Solution for Immunopeptidomics
December 5th, 2024 – Littleton, MA (USA) New Objective hosted a webinar event on Wednesday November 6th focused on the use of PicoChip ® columns for immunopeptidomics research at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. The webinar hosted by Emily Ehrenfeld, President, New Objective and led by Helena Svobodova, Product Manager and Steve Klohr, Director of Business Development, New Objective, featured the team in Robert Salzler’s laboratory at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and their ongoing work using PicoChip to identify tumor specific antigens for therapeutic targeting. Emily launched the event by highlighting the opportunity to address the “insurmountable problems in human health by building the medicines of tomorrow to improve patient outcomes”.
The talk titled “Innovative Cancer Research: Identifying Broad-Spectrum Cancer Targets with High-
Sensitivity Immunopeptidomics” was presented by Darshit Shah and shared recent work demonstrating
Regeneron’s further understanding of HLA (human leukocyte antigen) and its potential for enabling
effective immunotherapies. Using the established immunopeptidomic platform developed at Regeneron
the team has been able to identify and validate HLA/peptide antigens in tumors. Directed therapies
targeting MAGEA4, a tumor specific target, are currently in development as a result of this work.
For the team at Regeneron, as led by Robert, mass spectrometry is the tool-of-choice for detecting cell-
surface HLA/peptide complexes in patient tissue. Robert has previously shared his experiences working
with the New Objective PicoChip, a robust, reliable solution integral to their immunopeptidmic platform,
generating meaningful results, reproducibly.
Robert, together with Darshit and the team, continue their work in expanding the utility of the HLA
peptide repertoire demonstrating the greater possibilities for effective combination therapies. High
value samples derived from tissues in limited quantities continue to place a high demand on
performance, requiring greater sensitivity. Nanoflow LC-MS analysis enabled by New Objective
technology remains at the forefront to deliver these demands for sensitivity.
Industrialize sensitive analyses in your laboratory with PicoChip for reliable, reproducible results and see
what you’ve been missing.
